Today’s world is ever-changing, ever-evolving. The need to be able to constantly upskill and adapt to current technology changes has never been so more important.

Employment rates have decreased not due to the unavailability of well-paid jobs but due to the unavailability of skilled individuals.

This issue of the Skill Gap needs to be addressed immediately.

How can we tackle the issue?

The Program

The Foundation Program is a 30-Day Hybrid Bootcamp aimed at addressing the skill gap by helping students up-skill with a foundation program **in programming and web development. The program aims to help the students build a foundational skill level to find opportunities in the Industry.

The program aims not only to provide students with required training and opportunities but also to bring about a change in perspective within the student community. Thus, re-imagining the traditional methods of learning and stressing upon the need for industry-relevant skills.

Program Structure

The 30 Day program aims to take the students from a zero to one skill level. The program is divided into multiple levels with curated assignments and Karma point evaluations. Learners advance to each level based on Karma points earned from assignments and activities.

Along with learning the basics of programming, students are given sessions on how to improve their portfolio by keeping their GitHub, LinkedIn and social handles up to date.

Career & Opportunities

The final part of the program will have a hackathon (open build challenge) and hiring program, where the learners apply their skills in building solutions for problems provided by partner companies of µLearn. This ensures as a litmus test for companies in choosing the right talent even before setting up an interview.

Students can get placed or find careers throught this open build challenge as this gives them an avenue to showcase their skills in front of prospective employers.
